Jessica Chastain graces Marrakech International Film Festival with Cong Tri dress

Attending the screening event of the film "Memory" on Nov. 28 as the movie’s lead actress, as well as the jury president of this year’s festival, Chastain impressed with a black A-line gown made Italy-imported from taffeta silk and wool crepe by Tri.

Fashion blogger Catherine Kallon called the dress a good choice, though she said she could not understand why the actress "opted to dial down the look by removing the feather accent," which is the fit’s "most interesting feature."

Chastain, 46, started her acting career with guest roles on various TV shows. She landed her first lead role in 2008, and has won various prestigious awards including an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.

Cong Tri, 45, was born in Da Nang. He established his own brand in 2009 and has become a favorite name of various A-list celebrities since then, including Adele, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, Katy Perry, and Rihanna.
