She walked the event’s red carpet in a piece from Cong Tri’s Spring-Summer 2024 collection, which was unveiled last November.
Crafted from premium champagne-hued silk, the dress features square padded shoulders that suggest a sense of empowerment for the wearer. Additionally, it includes trendy cut-outs at the chest and waist, a design element embraced by many leading fashion brands globally.
Gu’s look was elegantly complemented with a Cartier gold bracelet and enhanced with a blend of shimmering eyeshadow and soft pink lipstick.
During the ceremony, Gu engaged in conversations with numerous celebrities, such as Tesla and SpaceX’s CEO Elon Musk, actor Bradley Cooper, TV personality Kim Kardashian, actress Michelle Yeoh, and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
Gu, 21, achieved the distinction of becoming the youngest Olympic gold medalist in freestyle skiing by securing victories in the big air and halfpipe events, along with a silver medal in slopestyle, during the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. This achievement also made her the first freestyle skier to earn three medals at a single Winter Olympics.
Time magazine recognized her as one of the world’s 100 most influential people, placing her in the "Pioneers" category of its 2022 annual list. Forbes ranked her as the world’s second highest-paid female athlete in 2023.
Cong Tri, 46, was born in the coastal city of Da Nang. He established his own brand in 2009 and has become a favorite name of various A-list celebrities since then, including Adele, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, Katy Perry, and Rihanna.
