Child model goes viral with catwalking video

Nha Uyen impressed viewers with her move down the catwalk for Singaporean designer Amos Ananda Yeo. At the start of the performance, Uyen’s hair was tied to two giant balloons and when she started walking, the balloons created an interesting effect that impressed viewers.

Throughout her performance, Uyen showed professional expressions and walking style. Her catwalk video attracted 56 million views on TikTok.

Uyen also walked the runway in Asian Kids Fashion Week for Indian designer Snigdha Bihan.

The six-year-old model wore a comfortable dress in bright colors, with curly hair and Indian-style jewelry. This performance also garnered attention on social media with Times Now of India complimenting Uyen on her "queen-like confidence."

According to Nguyen Hung Phuc, creative director of Asian Kids Fashion Week, Uyen has a great sense of music, a talent for catwalking at a very young age, as well as intelligence and the ability to learn quickly.

Uyen started catwalking when she was just four, attending classes for child models organized by Phuc. After more than a year, she was often chosen to walk at children’s fashion shows.

There were many times that Uyen had to wear complicated outfits with many accessories, but she handled them with ease. Her expression and aura on stage have been compared to adult models.

The 2023 Asian Kids Fashion Week is an event featuring the work of 18 designers from 12 economies. This is also a platform for child models to show their talent and potential.
