Instead of walking down the aisle to meet her groom, Dinh Ngoc Bao Tran rode a 1800-cc Harley-Davidson.

A clip of the wedding between Tran, 29, and Nguyen Huu An, 32, has recently attracted attention online.

The video shows Tran driving the high displacement Harley worth VND700 million (around $30,000) through the middle of the wedding in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Both An and Tran’s families had disapproved of the idea when the bride first proposed it. She’d only had three driving lessons before the big show. Her husband An is a motorcycle enthusiast and had to teach her to ride the beast first.

"Oh my god, you’re so cool!" exclaimed the new husband when his bride arrived at the altar after riding the bike down the aisle.

Tran said she felt proud. That same morning, the groom had driven Tran to the ceremony on the back of his motorcycle in a convoy of eight Harley-Davidsons. The couple’s pre-wedding photos also included large motorcycles.

The bride wore a short wedding dress and said no to high heels to be more comfortable on the bike.

Tran and An have known each other since 2012, when they met in university.

However, at that time, they didn’t talk much.

But during the Covid-19 pandemic, they reconnected and started dating.

Tran and An now plan to travel the country together on their Harley before having a baby.
