Half-Vietnamese goalkeeper throws birthday party with girlfriend, family

As Lam welcomed his 30th birthday on August 13, the half-Vietnamese goalkeeper and his beloved spent their weekend at a resort in the town of Quy Nhon, capital of the coastal province of Binh Dinh where his club Topenland Binh Dinh resides.

They held an outdoor BBQ party during the day before moving inside after sunset.

Lam posted a photo taken during the party to his Facebook account and captioned: "Everything I dreamed of came true as I turned 30."

Born in Moscow to a Vietnamese father and a Russian mother, Lam started playing football at an early age and spent his youth at Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Moscow.

He arrived in Vietnam in 2011 to play for Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club. After unsuccessful spells with the club, then in Laos and Russia, his career finally took off when he returned to Vietnam and joined Hai Phong FC in 2015.

He then got called up to the national team and became the nation’s number one goalkeeper.
