As the South China Morning Post reports, his automobile collection features a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, a white-and-neon blue Bugatti Veyron, and a life-size replica of the foot-powered "car" from the cartoon "The Flintstones."

Singaporean financial daily The Business Times notes that his car enthusiasm also includes active participation in motorsports and contributing to the growth and promotion of the automotive industry in Johor, his home state.

Additionally, Sultan Ibrahim holds the distinction of being the first Malay ruler with a locomotive driving license.

At the age of 65, Sultan Ibrahim was sworn into office during a ceremony held on Wednesday, which was attended by fellow royals, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and Cabinet members, as reported by AP. This event, which included signing the proclamation of office, will be followed by a coronation ceremony.

His wife, 64-year-old Raja Zarith Sofiah of the Perak Royal Family, is an Oxford-educated author known for her children’s books. They share five sons and a daughter.

Bloomberg values Sultan Ibrahim and his family’s wealth at a minimum of US$5.7 billion. Their assets span various sectors, including land in Singapore and investments in palm oil, real estate, and telecommunications.
