A sign outside the barber shop advertised haircuts "from RM19", according to The Strait Times.
If the allegation is true, the barber could be fined for violating anti-profiteering law. This aligns with the Malaysian government’s attempts to "offer the best services and reasonable prices, as a tourist destination," as stated by Salahuddin Ayub, Malaysia’s Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister, in an interview with the media.
