The secret to the Dubai-based airline's success is that it continually refines every aspect of the passenger experience, Forbes Travel Guide wrote.
The airline recently debuted an opulent lounge-like check-in area for its first-class and Skywards Platinum members, and it is the first autism-certified airline, with more than 30,000 cabin crew and ground staff trained to support travelers with autism.
Emirates' first class lounge was also named the world's best international airline lounge at this year's awards.
The airline's lounge offers dishes ranging from baked John Dory to 72-hour braised beef short ribs, a cigar bar, a Moet & Chandon bar, shower spas, a complimentary 15-minute spa treatment, as well as areas to rest or work.
The winners were determined by a survey of more than 9,000 of the most well-traveled people in the hospitality industry, including luxury travel advisors and most frequent fliers.
