I want to travel to Japan in the fall and I want to know if it's difficult to apply for a Japanese visa? I would like to know: besides the embassy, is there any place in Hanoi to process visas?

Also, if I go on a tour at the end of October, which travel company should I choose? (Cao Phu)

Answer:

According to the Japan Tourism Promotion Agency in Vietnam (JNTO), citizens of 68 countries and territories including Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and most European countries need not apply for a visas and will be granted short-term stays when visiting Japan.

However, visitors from outside of these 68 countries, which means travelers from Vietnam, must apply for a Japanese visa.

In addition to applying for a visa directly at the embassy, travelers can choose companies that are officially designated by the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam to provide visa services for tourists.
