The detainees, aged between 2 and 50, were held for overstaying and for entering and residing in Malaysia without valid permits, The Star reported.
The crackdown, led by 26 officers from the Johor Immigration Enforcement Division, followed tip-offs about a surge in the number of foreigners living in rented houses, New Straits Times reported.
All those detained have been sent to an immigration depot for investigation.
In recent months, Malaysia has detained hundreds of foreign tourists for immigration offenses during raids.
