The U.S. topped the list of 10 countries with the highest number of searches for Vietnam tourism in early 2025, followed by Australia and India, a recent report says.

Other top sources of interest were Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the U.K., Canada, Germany, and Malaysia, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said citing data from Google's Destination Insights.

Global searches for accommodations in Vietnam surged 15-30% from late November 2024 to January 2025 compared to the same period in 2023. The upward trend continued into early February, with search volumes rising 30-45%.

Google’s report aligns with the increasing number of American tourists visiting Vietnam.

In November 2024, Vietnam welcomed 69,237 American tourists, a 16% increase year-on-year. The figure rose to 73,000 in December and 92,000 in January 2025, marking a 25% year-on-year increase.

The U.S., Australia, and India are among Vietnam’s 10 largest sources of international visitors.

Vietnam welcomed 2.1 million foreign tourists in January 2025, the highest monthly figure ever recorded.

This year Vietnam targets 22-23 million foreign arrivals after receiving 17.6 million last year.
