Vietnam official tourism website beats most neighbors' in global rankings

According to the March rankings of traffic analysis firm Similarweb, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism website is behind only Singapore's 84,176th.

Thailand's website ranked 136,108th, followed by the Philippines (808,295th), and Malaysia (881,886th).

The Vietnamese website was visited 85% from outside the country, higher than the rates for Indonesia (64%), Thailand (44%), Malaysia (42%), and the Philippines (28%).

Tourism industry insiders said this visit rate indicates the website is doing a good job of attracting the attention of foreign nationals.

The bounce rate, defined as the percentage of visitors who leave a website after viewing just one page, for Vietnam's website was 65%, lower than those of Singapore (70%), Thailand (72%) and Indonesia (76%).

The Vietnam website mainly focuses on new policies on visa exemption and issuance of e-visas.
