AirlineRatings has named Vietnam Airlines the winner of the “Best Value Premium Economy Award” for 2024.

The award recognizes the airline's efforts to offer a "high-quality, high-value premium economy product on their medium- and long-haul aircraft without a hefty price tag."

Passengers flying with the airline have the option for extra comfort and space as well as priority treatment without paying expensive prices like the more prestigious premium economy offerings on airlines like Air New Zealand and Emirates, according to the Australia-based airline safety and product rating website.

Vietnam Airlines offers an equally generous seat pitch of 107cm and 18cm recline on the 787 and a smaller, 96cm seat pitch with a 15cm recline, on the A350, it said.

In also offers noise-canceling headphones, blankets, pillows, and amenity kits.

This year Air New Zealand has been awarded the Best Premium Economy Award while Singapore Airlines once again won the Best First Class Award.

AirlineRatings said all awards are judged by editors with a combined 200 years of aviation experience based on strict criteria for passenger comfort, innovation, value, and safety.

Last year Vietnam Airlines broke into a global ranking of the 10 best carriers by U.S. luggage storage company Bounce thanks to seat comfort and quality of service.
