The national flag carrier achieved a total score of 5.16 points out of 10, according to the recently-published ranking by U.S.-based luggage storage company Bounce.
Bounce analyzed data from 52 of the largest airlines in the world based on the total number of departures in 2022.
The company evaluated these airlines based on the following 10 factors: on-time arrivals, percentage of cancellations, total number of flights, free carry-on allowance, free checked domestic allowance, free checked international allowance, meal, in-flight entertainment, seat comfort, and staff service.
One passenger who flew Vietnam Airlines in August said on Skytrax's customer reviews site that his business class seat was "comfortable" and the service was "impeccable," according to Insider.
Japan Airlines was named the world's best airline, followed by Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways.
Last June, Vietnam Airlines was listed as one of the world's top 25 airlines for 2023 by AirlineRatings.com, an Australia-based aviation safety and product rating agency.
