The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Labor and the Tourism Council of Thailand will hold a training event on June 15 and 16 to enhance skills for tourism personnel, he added.
The same day, PM Srettha visited the Thai office of Agoda, the world’s biggest hotel booking platform, where he had a working session with its executives, expressing his hope that the platform will be instrumental in making 2025 an important year for the domestic tourism industry, which is on path to a full recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.
He also had discussions with the Airports of Thailand, Thai Airways International and Thai VietJet Air to find ways to increase the frequency of flights to foreign destinations and offer more fare discounts.
Thailand aims to welcome 35 million foreign visitors this year.
