"Symphony of the Sea," produced by Sun Group, returned to Phu Quoc's Sunset Town on Nov. 1, thrilling thousands of spectators with a 20-minute spectacle of lights, music, fireworks, and extreme water sports.

Crowds gathered across Sun Bavaria GastroPub, Kiss Bridge, and Sunset Town beach to witness the new edition of the show, featuring laser displays, advanced lighting systems, and nearly 1,000 pyrotechnic shots. The multisensory performance blended high-energy jetski, flyboard, and jetsurf choreography with cutting-edge visual effects.

First launched in 2024, "Symphony of the Sea" is one of Sun Group's largest entertainment investments. This year's edition brings together global industry leaders, including H2O Events and Laservision—both renowned for major aquatic and laser productions—as well as the award-winning designer behind the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival and a top costume studio from China.

More than 100 international experts spent six months preparing the show, contributing over 99,000 working hours to its design, production, and installation.

Jack Ellison, Director of H2O Events, said this season ranks among the world's most ambitious water-performance productions. "We searched the world for the best technicians and athletes to deliver an immersive, multi-sensory experience," he said.

This year's production features enhanced performance technology, following innovations first deployed at Sun Group's double-Guinness-record show in Cat Ba. Laservision, known for world-record light spectacles such as Dubai's "Imagine" and Marina Bay Sands' "Wonder Full," engineered the immersive lighting and laser systems in Phu Quoc.

Using more than 200 laser and lighting effects, the system requires precise synchronization to within 1/11,000 of a second. "Every performer must hit the mark exactly. The teams worked day and night to achieve absolute precision," said Shannon Brooks, CEO of Laservision. "From dazzling costumes to laser beams dancing across the sky, every element is designed to amaze."

Season 2 showcases 21 elite athletes in jetski, jetsurf, and flyboard disciplines. New performers include Anton Popov, three-time Hydroflight World Cup champion; Canadian national Flyboard champion Geoff Hulet; and Jorge Encabo, a top Hidro-Fly World Championship competitor. Returning stars include Kristina Isaeva, dubbed the "Queen of the Sky," and UAE Flyboard champion Lee Sak Yoon.

Athletes perform in custom LED suits designed by Beijing Bao Rong Baoyi Film and Television Culture Communication, noted for large-scale creative productions and collaborations with renowned director Zhang Yimou. Under a canopy of lasers and pyrotechnics, performers execute high-speed jetski maneuvers and flyboard stunts reaching up to 15 meters above the water.

The soundtrack mixes international hits with Vietnamese favorites, synced to each movement on the water, heightening the emotional and visual immersion.

According to organizers, the show underscores Sun Group's ambition to work with authorities and local communities to position Phu Quoc as a world-class tourism and entertainment destination.
