The country received 1.48 million foreign tourists in July, up 13% year-on-year and extending the rebound after a dip in the first three months of 2025, according to Statistics Indonesia.

Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said Indonesia's tourism sector is undergoing a "remarkable revival," Antara News Agency reported.
She added that the focus should be not only on visitor numbers but also on delivering quality experiences, preserving the environment and culture, and ensuring benefits for local communities.
Earlier this month, Indonesia launched a new mobile application, All Indonesia, to simplify entry procedures for international tourists.
Authorities have also deployed an immigration patrol task force in Bali to address violations by foreigners.
