South Korean model and actor Jung Il Woo has tried a bowl of pho beef noodle soup and beer on sidewalk during his trip to Hanoi.

On Tuesday he wrote on his Instagram page, which has three million followers, "Somehow ended up in Vietnam" and posted photos taken in Hanoi.

Many Vietnamese fans said "Welcome Jung Il Woo to Vietnam" and wished him memorable experiences.

He walked around Hanoi’s old quarter and used his smartphone to capture the daily lives of Hanoians, and tried a cup of ca phe sua (Vietnamese-style iced coffee with condensed milk).

Pho noodle soup is traditionally served with chicken or beef broth in which the bones simmer for at least three hours.

Vietnam has recently emerged as a favorite destination for South Korean celebrities.

In February Soobin and Beomgyu of K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together vacationed in Phu Quoc Island during the Lunar New Year holidays.

South Korea was Vietnam's largest source of visitors in the first quarter of this year with 1.23 million arrivals.
