Singapore Changi Airport has won the 2024 award for the World's Best Airport Immigration Service following a passenger satisfaction survey done by British air transport rating organization Skytrax.

Zurich Airport of Switzerland was second, followed by Bahrain International Airport and Seoul Incheon Airport in South Korea, Skytrax announced at a ceremony in Germany last week.

The rest of the top 10 were Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Helsinki Airport in Finland, Hamad International Airport in Qatar, Hong Kong Airport, Muscat International Airport in Oman, and Rome-Fiumicino Airport in Italy.

To compile the list, Skytrax conducted the survey from August 2023 to March 2024 to evaluate passengers' experience across multiple factors including waiting times, queuing systems, priority lanes, e-gate systems and efficiency, and the efficiency and courtesy of immigration staff.

Changi offers automated check-in and entry registration, biometric authentication systems and artificial intelligence to transport luggage.

It is also famous for its modern amenities and services, duty-free shopping, indoor rainforest, and the world's tallest indoor waterfall.
