It canceled 33 flights between May 2 and 6, including to Bangkok, Manila and Kuala Lumpur, and many passengers expressed their frustration at the disruptions.
"Several flights scheduled in May 2024 are canceled due to a variety of operational reasons, including aircraft unavailability, because of a shortage of spare parts due to supply chain issues," Scoot said in a statement as cited by Channel News Asia.
The carrier said it had contacted all affected passengers and most have been arranged on alternative flights, including on Singapore Airlines and Scoot.
Passengers will be offered a full refund for the unused portion of their tickets.
Three Jetstar Asia flights to and from Singapore were cancelled and 11 others rescheduled or delayed on Thursday, according to Changi Airport's website.
Jetstar blamed the disruptions for "an engineering issue identified during routine checks," according to The Straits Times.
