A new thrill in Thailand's Bangkok that allows people to lie face down on a glass panel protruding out of a 300-meter-tall building and see below is gaining popularity.

The Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyRides I-Tilt is situated on the 75th floor of Thailand's tallest building, King Power Mahanakhon Tower.

The experience invites thrill-seekers to lean at a 65-degree angle to catch panoramic views of Bangkok’s skyline.

Before participating, their blood pressure and heart rate are checked and they are fitted with smartwatches to track their vital signs during the experience.

Once cleared, guests enter a glass-encased cabin with a round face hole and a protective net behind them for added security.

The cabin then gradually tilts from vertical to a 65-degree angle.

Due to the intense nature of the experience, it is not recommended for people with heart conditions, high blood pressure or vestibular disorders.

The equipment is certified as meeting safety standards, but concerns have been raised nevertheless about possible risks from earthquakes like the one last March that shook several tall buildings in Bangkok, including this very tower.

Tickets for the I-Tilt experience are priced at 800 baht (US$22).

Also available are packages available that include other top-floor attractions such as the skywalk, rooftop bar and observation deck.

The tower can be reached by taxi or the BTS Skytrain from Chong Nonsi Station, Exit 3.
