Visitors to Yen Bai Province can now enjoy a zipline tour over the beautiful mountains and rice fields of Van Chan and Mu Cang Chai districts.

Aeris Hill amusement park in Tu Le Commune, Van Chan District recently launched the service, saying it is Vietnam’s longest zipline tour, stretching 1.2 kilometers. It offers a panoramic view of a place popular with photographers and trekkers for its bucolic, majestic beauty.

A station at each end of the line has alert staff to ensure users land safely. People weighing less than 50 kg have a 10 kg sandbag attached to them to ensure safety. The trip takes one to two minutes.

Diem Huong, 25, of Hanoi said: "I was a bit scared at how it was like jumping off a cliff. Prior to ziplining, I was afraid of heights and had safety concerns, but after the trip I felt great. It's so cool."

The second part of the zipline, stretching over 200 meters, requires the addition of a parachute to the customer’s back to slow them down.

"Even though the view from the second part cannot compare with that of the first (nearly 1 kilometers), it gave more of an adrenaline rush," Huong said.

Minh Duc, 27, of Hanoi said he was surprised the zipline in Tu Le was that long, the longest he had ever experienced. "We zipline over very diverse terrain, from terraced rice fields to rivers, mountains, and forests."

There are 15 sets of helmets and harnesses. So if you are traveling in a large group, you have to take turns.

Aeris Hill is open on all days except Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets start at VND200,000 ($8.70) per person which includes a zipline tour and other activities like zorbing, high rope games, and rock climbing.
