At a height of 2,500 meters above sea level, Ngoc Linh Mountain along the Truong Son range looks blurry under a thick layer of clouds in late summer and autumn.

August to October provides the ideal time for hunting clouds on Ngoc Linh Mountain, with adventure lovers often hiring local guides to escort them to the summit where they can camp overnight and wake up early the next morning to watch the sunrise from 5 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Straddling the provinces of Quang Ngai, Quang Nam and Kon Tum, Ngoc Linh Mountain is considered the country's largest producer of Vietnamese ginseng (Panax vietnamensis), found for the first time in 1973.
