British newspaper The Telegraph has recognized Hanoi as one of the 10 best destinations for solo travelers, praising the city for its "affordable costs and hospitality."

"Hanoi offers widespread WiFi, and SIM cards are available at a low cost for those who prefer to use the local network. English is fairly widely spoken, and there's no shortage of attractions to explore, from museums and temples to the Old Quarter and the night market," The Telegraph highlighted.

While Hanoi is generally safe, the newspaper advised visitors to remain cautious of pickpockets and other common scams, such as drivers taking longer routes to increase fares.

For taxi services, it recommended using apps and ensuring the driver's details match those provided in the app.

For solo female travelers, Hanoi is considered safe, but they should take standard precautions, such as dressing modestly, especially when visiting temples, and staying vigilant against drink spiking.

Other destinations on The Telegraph's list include Stockholm (Sweden), Mendoza (Argentina), Oman, the Austrian Alps, Honshu (Japan), Lisbon (Portugal), and New Zealand.

The Telegraph also advised against solo travel to certain destinations, including Egypt, India, Morocco, Porto, and Ibiza.
