Others countries and territories removed from the list –which allows their fully vaccinated travelers to undergo shorter quarantine on arrival -- include Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Curacao, Greenland, Iceland, Isle of Man, Israel, Liechtenstein, Mauritius, Turks, and Caicos Islands, according to the updated list by the Philippines's Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
The task force said the Philippines is facing a surge in Covid cases driven by the Delta variant.
Fully vaccinated travelers from 'green' countries only require seven-day quarantine instead of the usual 10.
Vietnam is currently facing its most challenging outbreak so far, triggered by the Delta variant, prompting several countries to ban or impose stricter quarantine measures for travelers from the country.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has added Vietnam to a list of countries with 'moderate' Covid travel risks, warning unvaccinated travelers at increased risk of Covid against traveling to Vietnam.
In the three months since the new wave started, Vietnam has recorded 177,804 infections.
