Peak summer festivals to rejuvinate Da Nang tourism

Da Nang and Hoi An, popular tourism hotspots in central Vietnam, will organize a series of cultural and entertainment events to serve travelers during the peak summer holiday season.

From June 11 to Aug. 15, a series of events, including a street carnival will be held every Saturday and Sunday in Da Nang with 200 artists expected to parade from Asia Park - Sun World Da Nang Wonders to Dragon Bridge along the Han River.

A music party will be organized in July at the main square of Asia Park that can accomodate up to 5,000 people.

An international electronic music festival with participation of over 10,000 spectators will also be held in August.

At the Nui Than Tai hotspring area in Hoa Vang District, there will be a dance performance of the Co Tu ethnic minority. The program takes place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday between June and September, to promote the unique culture of ethnic minorty communities in the central region.

Da Nang, with its beautiful beaches and other stunning tourist sights, targets 3.32 million domestic tourists and 180,000 foreign visitors this year.

Da Nang received 1.17 million domestic tourists last year, down 55.8 percent from 2019.

In the nearby Hoi An, a music and food festival featuring food stalls, outdoor sports activities and music programs will take place at An Bang Beach this weekend.

A carnaval program that includes dress up, a coastal costume performance and dances will be organized on July 2 at An Bang, voted as one of Asia's 25 most beautiful beaches by Tripadvisor readers.
