After a regular local flight in India was delayed for five hours on Sunday, instead of succumbing to frustration, passengers turned Goa International Airport into a dance floor.

A video featuring passengers and crew from the delayed flight to Surat City dancing to traditional Gujarati folk tunes quickly went viral on social media.

A group of passengers can be seen forming a circle, clapping to the infectious beats of Gujarati folk songs and performing the traditional Garba dance with synchronized steps.

A man in the center encourages the crowd to widen the circle, inviting more participants to join the revelry.

Airline staff also joined in, caught up in the festive mood, putting on their dancing shoes and adding to the joyous atmosphere.

Other travelers waiting for their flights watched evidently charmed, some capturing the moment on their phones.

Many could not resist tapping their feet themselves, turning the waiting area into a makeshift Navratri celebration ground.

But there were also some party poopers, who sanctimoniously pointed out that dancing at the airport was inappropriate since it was a public space.
