It recommended some must-try dishes in Mumbai such as pav bhaji (spicy mashed vegetables in a roll), bhelpuri (a tangy rice dish), and fresh dosa.
Vada pav, fried potato dumpling inside a bread roll lined with chutney, is also recommended, particularly at Mumbai Ladu Samrat.
The list was curated based on factors such as affordability, accessibility, and dish quality.
Penang was named the best street food city in Asia, followed by Hanoi and Singapore.
Chiang Mai ranked fifth and Japan's Osaka ranked seventh.
Thailand's Bangkok came in 8th, Cambodia's Phnom Penh placed 9th and China's Chengdu 10th.
Last year, internation food guide TasteAtlas ranked Indian cuisine 12th best in the world.
