They are Ha Thanh Mansion, Pho bo Lam, Mau Dich No.37, Mien luon Chan Cam and Uu Dam in Hanoi, and Que Xua, Bun Bo Hue Ba Thuong, Shamballa and Banh Xeo 76 in Da Nang, Michelin Guide announced at a ceremony on Thursday night, its third year honoring restaurants in Vietnam.
With the new entries, the total restaurants in the Bib Gourmand list in Vietnam have been raised to 63.
The Bib Gourmand awards highlight dining establishments that stand out for their good quality, and good value cooking. Bib Gourmand restaurants are much followed by those who are seeking affordable meals without compromising on quality or flavor, Michelin said.
According to Michelin, its inspectors assess venues based on five criteria: the personality of the chef as presented in the cuisine, the harmony of flavors, the mastery of cooking techniques, the quality of products and the consistency both over time and across the entire menu.
