Two Chinese passengers were removed from a plane at Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur International Airport after causing a disturbance before takeoff.

On Feb. 9, just before a flight to Jieyang City in China, the female passenger created a commotion on board, The Star reported.

She was described as "acting insane" and disturbing other passengers.

Security officers subsequently escorted her and her companion off the plane, according to a police chief.

The couple was taken to a police station but reportedly refused to cooperate and acted aggressively, Malay Mail reported.

Authorities then transferred them to a local hospital for a full medical examination due to suspected mental health issues.

No arrests have been made, and both tested negative for drugs. They remain hospitalized for further evaluation.

Last week, a female passenger and her companion were removed from a Singapore Airlines flight to Shanghai after allegedly verbally and physically assaulting cabin crew.
