An American couple has been banned from flying with JetBlue after allegedly engaging in sexual activity in their seats during a flight.

Trista L. Reilly, 43, and Christopher Drew Arnold, 42, both from Connecticut, were arrested upon landing at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport on July 19, New York Post reported.

During the flight, an attendant was alerted by a mother who said her two children had witnessed the pair engaging in sexual acts, The Independent reported.

"The behavior is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by JetBlue," the airline said in an official statement.

Authorities said the two children confirmed the account, stating they directly witnessed the acts.

Reilly and Arnold have been charged with lewd or lascivious exhibition in the presence of minors—a felony offense. Court records show they were released without bail.

The couple is scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 15.
