VSEC becomes AWS advanced tier services partner

As enterprises move critical systems from on-premises environments to the cloud, security needs to be addressed throughout the technology lifecycle, from architecture and deployment to operations and ongoing protection.

VSEC said its approach as an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner integrates cybersecurity considerations into cloud infrastructure from the design stage.

"Integrating security requirements into cloud infrastructure design from the outset helps enterprises minimize the need to add or modify security controls after the system has gone into production, particularly for critical workloads," a VSEC representative said.

Security requirements covering access control, data protection, network security, logging, and monitoring can therefore be incorporated into the architecture rather than added after deployment.

With more than 23 years of experience in cybersecurity, VSEC applies its security expertise to AWS-based cloud deployments, considering cloud environments as part of an enterprise's broader technology and operating infrastructure.

Cloud environments are closely connected to other parts of an enterprise's IT infrastructure. Security incidents can involve user identities, endpoints, networks, applications, and data, requiring organizations to coordinate multiple layers of protection and incident response.

According to SentinelOne, attacks targeting cloud infrastructure increased 21% in 2026 from the previous year, while misconfigurations were identified in nearly 38% of breaches. Multi-cloud environments can further increase security complexity as organizations manage different platforms and configurations.

VSEC integrates cloud security operations with its Security Operations Center (SOC), digital forensics and incident response (DFIR), and threat hunting and compromise assessment services.

The approach covers assessment, architecture and deployment, continuous monitoring, investigation, and incident response. Cloud security telemetry, logs, security events, and anomalous activity can be analyzed alongside data from the wider IT environment.
