It scored 7 out of 10 in the study by Cyprus-based property developer Domenica Group, placing fourth behind Cyprus with 8.17 points, Malta with 8 and Portugal with 7.17.
Dubai ranked fifth with 6.33 points, followed by Thailand with 5 and Bali, Indonesia, with 4.
Released in September, the study compared destinations for British remote workers planning to live abroad long-term, according to Travel + Leisure magazine.
It assessed six equally weighted factors: flight times from the U.K., European Union access and visa rights, taxation of foreign income, living costs, ease of settling in and English-language accessibility, and property and long-term residency opportunities.
The findings were limited to seven selected destinations and reflected the circumstances of British citizens, whose visa, tax and travel requirements may differ from those of other nationalities.

Cyprus received high marks for its proximity to Britain, widespread use of English, ease of settling in and opportunities for property ownership and long-term residency.
Living costs were its weakest category, although expenses remain lower than in the U.K. and the U.S.
Monthly living expenses for a single person, including rent, were estimated at $2,025–2,251. A one-bedroom apartment outside a city center typically costs $787–900 per month, compared with $1,012–1,125 in central areas.
