The world's richest man, Elon Musk, will join other billionaire tech moguls at a White House state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.

U.S. President Donald Trump will host the dinner as part of Xi's state visit to the U.S. from Sept. 23 to 25, with executives behind some of the world's largest technology companies among the guests.

The lineup includes Musk, Jeff Bezos, Michael Dell, Mark Zuckerberg and Jensen Huang, whose individual fortunes collectively account for most of the $2.2 trillion total calculated by Forbes.

Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is the world's richest person with an estimated net worth of $962.5 billion as of Sept. 22. His fortune alone accounts for more than 40% of the group's combined wealth.

Amazon founder Bezos ranks second globally with $374.3 billion, while Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell is worth $271.5 billion and ranks fourth.

Meta CEO Zuckerberg has an estimated fortune of $252.5 billion, while Nvidia CEO Huang is worth $198.1 billion.

Other prominent technology executives expected at the dinner include Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Apple executive chairman Tim Cook, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and president Greg Brockman, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon is also planning to attend, Bloomberg reported.

The guest list extends beyond the technology industry. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla are also expected to attend, Reuters reported.

The high-profile U.S. corporate turnout is unlikely to be matched on the Chinese side.

Xi is not expected to bring any chief executives as part of a business delegation, according to Bloomberg, which cited a senior U.S. administration official. The plans remain subject to change.

That would mark a contrast with Xi's 2015 state visit to the U.S., when he brought a large business contingent that included Alibaba founder Jack Ma, Tencent founder Pony Ma and executives from Chinese state-owned companies.

The dinner will follow talks between Trump and Xi, with trade, tariffs and artificial intelligence among the issues expected to feature in discussions.
