This was the first time the event was held in Vietnam. Mary Tran, CEO of Orochi Network, the organizer, expressed gratitude to Vietnamese authorities for supporting the event. With emotion, she thanked the ministries and agencies that made this regional gathering in Da Nang possible.
Tran explained that Super Vietnam aims to connect international communities in tech, finance, and investment, as Vietnam increasingly becomes a hub for innovation in Southeast Asia. She highlighted why Orochi chose Da Nang: the city's potential, vision, and ambition to grow its role in the tech industry. Tran hopes that Super Vietnam will become an annual meeting point for the global tech community, helping to solidify Da Nang's position on the regional tech map.
At the opening ceremony, Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, emphasized that Super Vietnam 2025 is not just a global tech conference but also a pivotal milestone in the city’s digital transformation journey.
He noted that the event coincides with Da Nang's implementation of Resolution 57 by the Politburo, which highlights science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the three pillars of the city's development. Da Nang aims to become a hub for digital technology and smart finance, helping to boost both economic and social growth.

According to city officials, these are key areas in Da Nang's full-scale digital transformation.
Digital applications such as cashless payments, e-wallets, and blockchain-based lending platforms are helping to modernize financial management, supply chains, and online transactions.
Da Nang is also exploring experimental models such as financial sandboxes and free trade zones to support technology businesses testing new ideas in an open environment.
These initiatives are strategic steps toward building an international financial center and expanding cross-border transactions to connect with the global financial ecosystem.

One of the highlights of Super Vietnam 2025 is the Super Vietnam Pitchfest, a competition featuring dozens of top startups in Web3 and AI. This serves not only as a platform for tech entrepreneurs but also as a bridge to connect promising projects with investors and funding opportunities. Organizers hope the competition will spark a wave of innovation and attract more young founders to grow their ventures in Da Nang.
City leaders also expressed hopes that the partnership agreements signed at Super Vietnam 2025 will boost the local digital economy, drawing more international capital and technology to central Vietnam.
As part of the event, the 2025 Conference on Blockchain and AI Technology Development featured several strategic presentations on the role of emerging technologies in reshaping Vietnam's growth model.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, speaking at the conference, emphasized that AI and blockchain are not just technologies but strategic platforms that could help Vietnam achieve breakthroughs in the digital era.
According to Tuyen, AI is driving advancements in industries such as manufacturing, finance, logistics, healthcare, and public administration. It helps reduce costs, boost productivity, and improve efficiency, while also enabling the government to enhance public services and social welfare. AI is expected to become a core pillar of digital government, digital businesses, and digital citizens in the near future.
Meanwhile, blockchain is viewed as a tool to improve transparency, fight corruption, track product origins, and optimize supply chains. Tuyen noted that beyond finance, blockchain has the potential to create new startup spaces where innovators can build unique business models.
On the policy side, Vietnam has issued key documents such as Resolution 57, the National Strategy on AI, and plans to develop high-tech human resources. Notably, Decree 182 establishes an Investment Support Fund for AI businesses, covering up to 50% of investment costs. A draft law on the digital technology industry is also being worked on to build a legal framework for digital products and services.

By 2030, Vietnam aims to be among the top four ASEAN countries in AI, develop at least 20 blockchain brands, and build three technology testing centers in major cities. The national strategy also sets a goal to train 8,000 AI specialists annually and integrate data and AI into STEM programs across all educational levels. "Workforce training is the foundation for long-term progress," Tuyen said.
From a business perspective, Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of CMC Corporation, highlighted Da Nang’s unique advantages in developing a Digital International Financial Center (DIFC) based on AI and blockchain technologies. He pointed out that Vietnam’s long-term goal is to become a high-income country by 2030, with innovation and digital transformation serving as key drivers. The digital economy is projected to contribute 20% of GDP by 2025 and up to 30% by 2030.
In the DIFC model, AI plays a central role in building legal frameworks, delivering smart financial services, credit scoring, and analyzing user behavior. Blockchain supports data security, transparent transactions, and digital identity management. Platforms such as robo-advisors, RippleNet, Civic, and Everledger are expected to create a reliable and inclusive financial ecosystem.

CMC proposed a three-phase roadmap to develop the DIFC. The first phase focuses on setting up digital infrastructure and regulatory sandboxes for eKYC, open finance, and cloud computing. The second phase will pilot AI and blockchain in credit scoring, insurance, and smart contracts. The final phase will expand partnerships with banks, investment funds, fintech firms, and international experts.
"Da Nang has great potential to become Vietnam's financial innovation valley," Chinh said.
On the education and application side, Nguyen Hoang Minh, CEO of FPT Information System under FPT Corporation, emphasized that AI is central to FPT’s digital transformation strategy, particularly in semiconductors and core technology sectors. He announced plans to train 50,000 high-quality AI professionals and launch 500,000 online courses nationwide, starting in Da Nang.
"We aim to turn Da Nang into a center for AI talent and innovation," he said.
Closing the panel, Dr. Vo Cong Khoi from the Regional Political Academy III stressed the role of academic institutions and research centers in managing and advancing new technologies. He said that alongside building a legal framework, Vietnam must prioritize privacy and personal data protection and establish judicial mechanisms to resolve digital disputes, key conditions for the country to stay competitive in the global tech race.
As part of the event, Orochi Network signed memorandums of understanding with several strategic partners in digital infrastructure and education. The agreements aim to advance technologies such as cybersecurity, cryptography, data infrastructure, and blockchain while promoting entrepreneurship and investment in Vietnam and internationally.
These partnerships are expected to help build Da Nang’s startup ecosystem, connecting schools, businesses, and infrastructure providers, fostering high-quality human resources and real-world tech applications.
The Super Vietnam 2025 Week on Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence was organized by Orochi Network in collaboration with FPT Online and DSAC, with VnExpress as the media sponsor.
