In a post on X on June 20, Musk outlined his plan to use the advanced reasoning model Grok 3.5, "maybe we should call it 4," he said, to accomplish the task.
He emphasized that Grok’s latest version would be retrained on a corrected knowledge base, removing what he called the "garbage" often found in unrefined data. "Far too much garbage in any foundation model trained on uncorrected data," he added.
Grok is a product of Musk's xAI and is available to users on X. The world’s richest man has long sought to create products, including Twitter and Grok, that operate outside what he views as harmful mainstream constraints, according to Business Insider.

Grok's "AI tutors" have been training the tool on controversial topics to position it against OpenAI's more "woke" ChatGPT. Musk encouraged X users to provide examples of "divisive facts" to aid in Grok's retraining.
Despite these ambitions, Musk recently clashed with his own AI. The Mirror reported a confrontation with a right-wing podcast account, "Catturd," which criticized Grok.
The account posted, "When Grok first came out - it was awesome - now Grok is just woke fake news that repeats liberal talking points." "I know this for a fact because everything Grok says about me is a lie. What a joke Grok has become," he said.
The Tesla founder responded to the post, writing, "Shame on you, @Grok."
In another instance, Musk criticized Grok over what he called a "major fail" when it highlighted the frequency of right-wing political violence compared to left-wing violence. He vowed to update the program in response.
Musk, who has been vocal about the potential dangers of AI, founded xAI in 2023, entering the generative AI market, which includes companies like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and China’s open source DeepSeek. In February this year, xAI launched Grok 3, claiming the tool outperformed its competitors in early tests.
"We’re very excited to present Grok 3, which is, we think, an order of magnitude more capable than Grok 2 in a very short period of time," Musk said during a livestreaming event on X.
