U.S. memory chipmaker Micron Technology has been named Singapore's best workplace among companies with 1,000 or more staff for the second consecutive year.

Micron topped the large-company category of the Best Workplaces in Singapore 2026 rankings, announced on Oct. 29 by global workplace consultancy Great Place To Work.

The ranking recognized 55 companies across four categories based on employee numbers, using confidential feedback to assess workplace culture, trust and employee experiences.

Micron, which employs approximately 10,000 people in Singapore, was followed by logistics giant DHL and hotel group Marriott International. Hilton and FedEx rounded out the top five.

The U.S.-headquartered semiconductor manufacturer produces memory chips used in computers, smartphones, data centers and artificial intelligence systems.

Micron employees have access to internal mentorship programs through company resource groups, as well as volunteer activities and interest groups covering sports, pets and other shared interests. It emphasizes building connections among employees both inside and outside the workplace.

"We believe in the importance of community and peer support," said Cher Whee Sim, Micron's vice-president of people strategy, technology and workforce transformation, as quoted by The Straits Times.

In the medium-sized company category, covering employers with 100 to 999 workers, Singapore-based flexible workspace provider JustCo climbed from fourth place in 2025 to first this year. It was followed by online travel platform Booking.com and pharmaceutical company AbbVie, while Capella Hotels and Resorts and technology company Cisco rounded out the top five.

Local audio equipment distributor TC Acoustic ranked first among small companies employing 30 to 99 people, ahead of software companies Cloudera and ABP Securite.

Cryptocurrency education provider Cryptoknight Academy led the micro-company category, covering organizations with 10 to 29 employees.

The annual rankings, introduced in Singapore in 2015, are based on Great Place To Work's Trust Index employee survey. The 2026 survey was distributed to 94,373 employees across Singapore. The assessment examines employees' experiences of trust, workplace culture and organizational practices.

Among the newcomers to the rankings was AI-powered work management platform monday.com, which placed fourth in the small-company category after establishing its Singapore presence in 2025.

The company said it uses AI tools for employee onboarding and routine human resources inquiries while keeping recruitment decisions under human supervision.
