This rapid charging speed is powered by Zeekr's in-house-developed Golden Battery, which uses lithium iron phosphate technology.
With a peak charging power of 1,140 kW from a 95 kWh battery pack, the 12C charging rate allows for rapid recharges, meaning the battery can be charged 12 times its capacity in one hour, as reported by InsideEVs.
Zeekr 001’s dual electric motors deliver 912 hp, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 2.83 seconds, according to Carsscoops. The 95 kWh model also boasts a range of 441 miles (710 km).
Zeekr will also offer a 103 kWh variant equipped with CATL’s Qilin battery technology. This version offers a range of 437 miles, though charging speeds are slower, with a 10-80% charge taking 10 minutes.
Other upgrades to the Zeekr 001 include a panoramic glass roof with individual LEDs designed to mimic the Starlight headliner seen in Rolls-Royce vehicles. It also features a large infotainment display, a 39.3-inch head-up display, a 13-inch instrument cluster, and an 8-inch rear display.
Pricing in China will be announced later this week, with the pre-refresh 001 priced between 259,000 and 329,000 yuan (US$36,500 - $46,300). The 001 is also available in select European markets, where it starts at around €60,000 ($69,400).
