Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, highlighted that the event was more than just a technology conference. It represented a key step in the city's journey toward digital transformation, aligning with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW issued by the Politburo, which identifies science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as Da Nang's three core pillars for development. The goal is to transform Da Nang into a smart financial center and digital technology hub, driving sustainable socioeconomic growth.

From a strategic perspective, Mary Tran, CEO of Orochi Network, the event's co-organizer, explained that Super Vietnam served as an essential platform connecting technology, finance, and international investment communities as Vietnam emerges as Southeast Asia's innovation center. Da Nang was selected for the event due to its strategic vision and potential to redefine its role on the regional technology map. She expressed the ambition that Super Vietnam would become a regular gathering for the global tech community, reinforcing Vietnam's position on the international innovation stage.

'Sandbox' mechanisms discussed for fintech

A central topic discussed during the event was the "sandbox" mechanism, a controlled environment allowing experimentation with new financial technologies.

The opening session on June 4, titled "Emerging Tech—Creative Synergy, Future Orientation," set the tone for the entire event, conveying a clear message that blockchain, AI, and big data would drive the future of digital finance.

On June 5, a series of deep-dive workshops covered three main pillars: future-oriented investments, AI and blockchain applications in finance and production, and advanced data security solutions. These sessions attracted participation from leading fintech entities such as HashKey Capital, MEXC, Ledger, Helix, OKX, Sui Foundation, Mavia, and Figment.

Participants exchanged insights on how various countries deploy and manage digital finance sandboxes, from municipal to national scales, as a means of safely testing new regulatory frameworks. For instance, OKX shared expertise on ensuring compliance with local regulations in multiple jurisdictions.

With 22 investment funds managing combined assets exceeding $12 billion, discussions led to proposals on the application of AI and blockchain technology in areas such as credit, insurance, digital identity, and sandbox regulatory models. Representatives from major banks including VietinBank, VPBank, and MB presented their solutions regarding digital wallets, eKYC processes, and broader digital transformation strategies. Notably, the proposed establishment of an International Digital Financial Center in Da Nang received strong support from corporations such as FPT Online and CMC, positioning it as a catalyst for Vietnam's fintech market.

Dr. Pham Tien Dung, co-founder and head of AI and data science at VarMeta Technology, highlighted Vietnam's ongoing "technological window of opportunity." Ranked fifth globally in cryptocurrency adoption (2024) and 39th out of 193 countries in AI readiness (Oxford Insights), Vietnam is well-positioned to develop its digital regulatory infrastructure, using sandbox models as a strategic starting point.

"Our goal is for Vietnam to become a global leader in blockchain application and research by 2030," said Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Deputy Director General of the Department of Information Technology Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology.

Expanding global connectivity

Beyond panel discussions, Super Vietnam 2025 facilitated global connections through various companion activities. The PitchFest showcased 35 tech startups, with 10 finalists presenting directly to potential investors. Meanwhile, the Super Vietnam Expo featured over 20 exhibition booths from technology firms based in Vietnam, South Korea, the U.S., Singapore, and Europe.

A key highlight was the Tech Tour on June 6, organized by Orochi Network, where city leaders met with more than 50 international experts, establishing a foundation for a global advisory network to support Da Nang's AI and blockchain strategies.

In addition to professional engagement, Super Vietnam 2025 achieved substantial public impact, with over 40 million impressions, nearly 18 million Google searches for event-related keywords, and more than 2,500 social media posts.

Da Nang authorities plan to establish Super Vietnam as an annual event, maintaining Orochi Network as a strategic partner. Future editions will prioritize training AI engineers, building open data infrastructure, and attracting global talent, furthering Da Nang's ambition to become the region's leading hub for blockchain and AI research and development.

As the main organizer, Orochi Network played a critical role not only in event coordination but also in connecting Vietnam's technology ecosystem to global networks. Specializing in Web3 security and infrastructure, Orochi Network delivers transparency-focused data solutions, Oracle services, and blockchain applications in gaming, decentralized finance, and digital assets. Super Vietnam 2025 showcased Orochi Network's strong organizational capabilities and global positioning, laying a firm foundation for Vietnam's future technological advancements.
