Andy Byron, former CEO of tech firm Astronomer, who went viral for hugging the company’s HR chief at a Coldplay concert, has sold his New York home for US$5.8 million.

The sale deed, recorded on Nov. 18 in the city’s Department of Finance records, shows the property was not publicly listed for sale. The deed also suggests Byron remains married to his wife, Megan, with their current address in Massachusetts, as reported by Crain’s New York Business.

The condominium, located in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood, was purchased by the couple for $5.4 million in 2022. It features four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, an open kitchen, and a wine refrigerator, according to The New York Post.

Byron, 51, and Astronomer's former HR director Kristin Cabot, 53, made headlines in July when they were captured embracing on the Coldplay "kiss cam." The video quickly went viral, leading to Byron’s resignation from his position, followed by Cabot’s departure.

In the wake of the scandal, Megan, 50, whom the Daily Mail dubbed "America’s most forgiving wife," reverted her social media surname to her maiden name, Kerrigan, and left the couple's marital home in Northborough, Massachusetts.

In late September, the couple was seen together for the first time in months during relaxed outings near their coastal retreat in Maine, still wearing their wedding bands. A source close to Cabot told People that there was "no affair" between her and Byron, clarifying that the only "inappropriate" act was the hug they shared.

A source close to Cabot also told The New York Times that Byron was separated from his wife and living apart at the time of the incident. The source added that Cabot and her husband, Andrew Cabot, 61, had been separated and living apart for several weeks before the concert. On Aug. 13, Cabot filed for divorce in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, but the former couple requested the records be kept private.
