While some Nokia products can still be found, the direct link in the website header has been eliminated. Attempting to view a Nokia smartphone now displays a message indicating that the product has been discontinued, with suggestions for alternative HMD smartphones, as reported by Yuga Tech.

Although Nokia smartphones are no longer available for purchase, users can still buy Nokia-branded feature phones on the site.

HMD Global has not commented publicly on the decision.

HMD Global, formed by former Nokia employees in Finland, acquired the rights to use the Nokia brand in 2016 through a ten-year licensing deal, according to Times of India.

In September 2024, HMD Global launched its own brand, HMD, alongside Nokia-branded devices, announcing plans to introduce a broader range of mobile devices under the HMD name.

The company has also rebranded its social media presence, changing its X (formerly Twitter) account from @nokiamobiles to @HMDglobal, reflecting its shift toward a multi-brand strategy.
