OpenAI’s data shows that a "major outage" occurred for 4 hours and 10 minutes Thursday morning.
But at the time of publishing the issues have been resolved.
"All services are now fully operational," OpenAI said in a note on its website, adding that it will run a full root-cause analysis of the outage and will share details when complete.
Users began reporting outages at around 7:00 a.m, according to Downdetector, a platform which tracks the status of websites.
In the U.S., nearly 28,500 people were unable to access ChatGPT as of 7:40 a.m.
ChatGPT, launched in 2022, has more than 300 million weekly active users, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said earlier this month.
