I need to buy a TV to replace the one I have been using for 10 years. Browsing through stores, I saw quite a few TVs labeled as in-store display models or used goods with remaining warranty periods ranging from a few months up to several months, priced 30% to 70% cheaper than brand-new items.
Another option is used TVs with five to 20 months of remaining warranty, though their prices are considerably higher than display models. These items are even displayed in front of stores to attract buyers, with enthusiastic sales staff hovering around.
However, I am hesitant about choosing either of these two options because, while the prices are attractive compared to new products, their durability is uncertain. I hope experts and readers can offer some advice.
