“Our family sleeps in a fully sealed bedroom, and I have heard this could affect our health, so I am considering installing a fresh air supply system or replacing our air conditioner with one that includes this feature,” reader Hoang Anh wrote.

The room is around 20 square meters, with no windows and only a single door. I use the air conditioner regularly and have always thought that a sealed space helps keep the cold air in and saves electricity.

My family of four has been living like this without major issues. Only my two young children, aged 2 and 5, occasionally catch mild colds.

However, I recently saw posts on social media suggesting that using air conditioning in a completely closed room may be bad for our health due to poor ventilation.

I do not feel comfortable leaving the door slightly open, so I looked into other options. I found that some people install fresh air supply systems or use air conditioners with built-in fresh air functions.

I would appreciate advice from experts or experienced readers on whether this is a solution worth pursuing.
