The next VnExpress marathon in beach town Quy Nhon is scheduled for June 2021, with registration open from November 9.

Continuing the success of two events in 2019 and 2020, the Quy Nhon marathon next year is expected to offer participants new and old a unique experience.

With registration set to open at 9 a.m. on November 9, prices for each category will remain unchanged from prior editions. Second-time participants will get 20 percent off while third-timers enjoy a 30 percent discount. Offers are valid for all distances and categories until registration closes.

Organizers are cooperating with sponsors to support participants with transportation, accommodation and meals throughout the event.

The event will retain the 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km distance of previous events. The race will commence at Nguyen Tat Thanh monument in the south central town, though each distance will follow a different course.

The 2020 edition had 50 prizes valued at VND1 billion ($43,000) up for grabs, covering different distances and age categories. Those who complete either of the four distances will receive a medal, with those in the 21 km and 42 km categories also getting a special t-shirt. Runners will be awarded a scarf in addition to the medal and shirt upon completing the full marathon.

VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon has become one of the biggest sporting events of the year in Binh Dinh Province. Annually, thousands of athletes along with friends and family flock to Quy Nhon to take part in the race and explore one of the most famous beach cities in Vietnam.
