Runners ready for 2022 VnExpress Marathon Hue

Nearly 30 members of the running group Under30 in Hanoi that arrived in Hue have their Bib and race kit on Friday. This group consists of runners under 30 years old. Of which, 20 have registered for the 10 and 21 kilometer run.

"The group has prepared eye-catching costumes and hopes to create great memories in this marathon," said Pham Ngoc Pha, a member.

Kieu Loan, 30, an employee at a bank in Hue, along with 200 colleagues will also try conquering the course of the 2022 VM Imperial Hue.

"It's been a long time since Hue organized a grand and professional marathon. This is a chance for runners to meet and share their experience," Loan said.

Doan Ngoc Hai, 54, has participated in many VnExpress marathons before. This is his second VM Imperial Hue tournament, for which he registered for the full marathon - 42km.

"This is my fifth consecutive marathon in five weeks, I just want to experience and enjoy the course in Hue," Hai said.

Nguyen Huu An, 67, and his wife Dong Thi Nhu Tuyet in Hue also joined the marathon. Previously, he had taken part in a pro marathon in the 10 kilometer distance.

"In VM Imperial Hue, I registered for the half marathon (21km) to challenge myself, while my wife will take part in the 10 kilometer run," he said.

The 2022 VM Imperial gathers over 4,700 pro and amateur runners in the country with four distances: five, 10, 21 and 42 kilometers. This year's tournament will take place on Sunday.
