21-year-old cheerleader Lee Ju-eun is facing online backlash after wearing a highly revealing outfit during a cheerleading performance for a South Korean baseball team.

Lee, who boasts over 1.2 million followers on Instagram, is widely admired in South Korea for her beauty and figure.

On April 10, she officially joined the cheerleading squad of baseball team LG Twins and received a heartwarming welcome from the team. In the promotional photo shared by the club, the cheerleader appeared in a crop top and fitted tights that showed off her curves, drawing both praise and criticism.

According to KBIZoom and Koreaboo, the controversy began when a user on X posted the photo and questioned: "Why do you need such an outfit to cheer? It looks really uncomfortable." The post quickly went viral, garnering over 18,000 likes and sparking a wave of criticism.

Another user added: "The outfit is trying to do everything at once: showing armpits, belly button, some cleavage and her whole thighs. So greedy."

The criticism intensified on April 12, when Lee made her debut performance as an LG Twins cheerleader at a game against the Doosan Bears in the Korean Baseball Organization League (KBO). Her sexy dance routine and tight costume reignited the conversation about cheerleader uniforms at public sporting events.

"No matter how beautiful she is, she doesn't need to wear something this revealing," one commenter wrote.

Others voiced concern about the presence of children and teenagers in the stadium.

"The level of exposure is getting worse," one user commented.

"Look at the Doosan Bears' uniforms, just T-shirts and shorts, and they still look good," another added.

One user even claimed to have filed a formal complaint back in June 2020, urging the team to redesign its cheerleader outfits.

"They replied vaguely, saying the outfits were based on audience suggestions and future revisions could be considered. But it has been five years, and nothing has changed," the user wrote.

Born in 2004, Lee rose to fame in 2024 through a viral video of her performing the viral "Pikki Pikki" dance while cheerleading for the KIA Tigers.

Her standout appearance and stage presence earned her nicknames such as "cheerleader goddess" and "cheerleader angel." In January 2025, she announced that she had joined the Fubon Angels, part of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. On April 10, she officially signed with the LG Twins.
