Piotr Pilich, LCP’s head of product, noted at the conference that Riot Games has long aimed to bring major tournaments closer to the League of Legends fan community in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in Southeast Asian countries.

"Vietnam is one of the key markets with the most passionate, enthusiastic fan communities in the region. Bringing the Finals Weekend for a major event like LCP 2025 to Da Nang has always been part of our plan and strategy," Pilich said.

He added that the tournament’s success depends heavily on partners like FPT, VNG, and local authorities, whose support ensures high-quality execution.

Nguyen Tran Son, Director of Esports Development at VNGGames, said fans are a crucial factor in bringing LCP to Vietnam.

Regarding Da Nang, he noted the city’s strong esports history, having hosted two prior tournaments in 2012 and 2016, which included notable achievements by Vietnamese teams.

Son added that even small operational details require substantial support from local departments, ministries, and agencies. This backing ensures that participation by international players proceeds smoothly.
