LCP 2025 a catalyst for strengthening Vietnamese esports, says FPT exec

According to Viet Anh, hosting the event in Da Nang not only gives Vietnamese fans the chance to enjoy an international-standard tournament in their homeland but also helps establish the city as a familiar destination for global esports events. Da Nang was chosen because it meets infrastructure, equipment, and logistics requirements, along with strong support from the local government.

For FPT Telecom, LCP 2025 is a strategic move to expand influence among young people, a demographic that makes up a large portion of the group's roughly 50 million users nationwide. "Accompanying Riot Games to bring LCP to Vietnam is an opportunity to connect younger generations with the digital service ecosystem and, at the same time, realize FPT's vision in gaming and esports," Viet Anh emphasized.

He also highlighted that the rapid growth of Vietnam’s esports scene provides a foundation for the country to gradually assert its international standing if backed by proper investment and strategy. The event is not only significant for esports but also helps promote the image of Da Nang to global audiences, opening doors for other international cultural, entertainment, and sports events.

As part of the LCP 2025 Finals Weekend, participants will be able to immerse themselves in a vibrant esports atmosphere at the venue, along with opening art performances that blend traditional and modern elements. In addition to live watching, fans can take part in side activities and interact with players and KOLs. The matches will be broadcast globally with multilingual commentary.

The LCP 2025 is the largest LoL tournament ever held in Da Nang, bringing together top teams from the Asia-Pacific region. Launched in 2025 by Riot Games and Carry International, LCP replaces the VCS (Vietnam), PCS (Taiwan), and LJL (Japan) leagues, featuring eight elite teams from Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Australia.
