Vietnam will host the 5150 Triathlon for the first time in the southern island of Phu Quoc on November 20.

Organized by Ironman, the 5150 Triathlon involves a shorter distance than other triathlons like Ironman and Ironman 70.3: 51.5 km comprising 1.5 km of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running.

The event is expected to attract 400 athletes from 34 countries, including Lam Tuc Ngan, the only Vietnamese to qualify for the Ironman World Championship (3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling and 42.2 km of marathon) in the U.S. in 2019.
